2017 Subaru XV Redesign




The successor to the current Subaru XV crossover models, expected in late 2016. Announcement of a new model is in the form of the concept, which is exposed to the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. After the Subaru unveiled concept designs for future Impreza models, is ready and this concept that announces 2017 Subaru XV crossover.

Completely redesigned and revised 2017 model, will be placed on a new Subaru Global platform. The new XV will feature a new Dynamic x Solid design language of the company. 2017 Subaru XV will have great similarities with the 2017 Impreza models. By all appearances, these two models will have similar dimensions as well as a large number of components and systems.

2017 Subaru XV Changes

The new platform and a new design, entails major changes in the appearance and structure of the vehicle. Minor changes, which were implemented with the 2016 model will be visible in the new model. There are a redesigned front grille, front bumper and “hewk-eye ‘lights. At the rear, the modified design of LED lights, and there is a nice blend together spoiler. The range of exterior colors has been expanded, and there are new black & silver diamond alloy wheels.

The interior is enriched with new touch-screen of 7 inches, an additional USB port, rear camera.

It is expected that the 2017 Subaru XV to be of similar size as the Impreza concept. This means that the vehicle will be long about 440 cm, width about 190 cm and about 145 cm high, with a wheelbase of more than 275 cm.

With all the changes in the exterior and interior of the new model, we should mention the improvement of powertrain and transmission system. These enhancements, particularly the increased effectiveness, while CO2 emissions are reduced.

2017 Subaru XV Specs

Under the hood 2017 Subaru XV will find proven 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Upgraded 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine develops 145 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a promoted 6-speed manual transmission and AWD. In the previous version, this engine has increased fuel economy (5.4 l/100 km) and better performance.

Another upgraded unit attracted a lot of attention. It is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 148 horsepower and 196 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a CVT and AWD, but is also available with an improved 6-speed transmission. Paired with CVT, this engine has a consumption of 6.5 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 151 g/km.

Price

2017 Subaru XV should be sold at the same price as the upgraded model of the year 2016, which is offered on the British market. The base XV 2.0i SE costs £ 22,000, while the top version XV 2.0D SE Premium is priced from £ 26,000.
